Sleep. In theory, it seems so easy, and as adults, it is something that most of us long to have more! Yet it is also one of the most perplexing subjects when it comes to our mind, and sometimes we can’t get to sleep! You need to know what is causing you not to sleep and, more importantly – how to go to sleep fast!
Sleep is a crazy, crazy thing sometimes! How funny and complex to understand is it that sometimes when we are driving on a long road trip, radio blaring, enough caffeine in you to wake the dead, windows down, and the wind blowing in your face that we struggle to stay awake? Or even that important (but boring and the seemingly perfect time to go to sleep fast!) business meeting where you get a case of “the nods?” Even if your boss is talking directly at you!
And yet, at other times, we will be home in bed, tired and ready to go to sleep, comfy soft pillow, perfect temperature, and perhaps even a loved one snuggling into you. Amazingly you toss and turn, stare at the clock and also the ceiling, all the while getting more and more frustrated at not being able to fall asleep at all! Let alone succeeding in your desire to go to sleep fast!
When all environmental conditions are right for sleep, and you can’t drift off, the frustration can cause you to suffer even more, and then sleep deprivation starts! It is not surprising that sleep deprivation is an effective torture tool, and ask new parents how good they feel when they can’t get a good night's sleep!
Many things can cause tossing and turning, but the most common is an overactive or stressed brain, thoughts, or imagination. Money problems, work problems, relationships, and days' events can cause our brains to be overactive. What you need to do to go to sleep fast is the ability to turn off your mind and reach the perfect brainwave patterns for rest.
Always remember that the quality of sleep is more important than quantity. This is why we can sleep fewer hours without feeling sleepless. If you want to go to sleep fast, sleep less, and still stay energized, try these helpful techniques.
Spending more time outdoors can have remarkable effects on your mind and spirit. The cleansing feeling you get, especially when outdoors in a naturally attractive and relaxing location, is very beneficial to a good night's sleep.
Meditation can also be a great tool to help clear your mind and turn off all the noise!
If available, have a quick power nap throughout the day when you get tired. Be careful not to fall deep into sleep, as this will make you feel worse—just a quick 15 minutes or so.
Try a few different temperatures in your bedroom. Most people go to sleep fast and sleep better when in a cool room with some decent ventilation.
After trying these methods and still failing to go to sleep fast, perhaps you should give brain frequency recordings a try. Using a sleep program that uses binaural beats mp3 and isochronic tones, it’s no longer hard to fall into a quick relaxation state and get you started with important REM sleep.
Instead of tossing and turning for hours on end, have this system immediately downloaded to your computer, plug in your headphones, and press play. Almost immediately, you’ll be placed into a more relaxed state which will quickly transport you to that state of consciousness you’ve been desperately trying to get all night before you even know for sure that it’s working!
Don’t toss and turn all night, watching the alarm clock get closer and closer to the time you have set it to wake you up!
Download the brain entrainment recording below, let the technology do the rest, and get you falling off to sleep quickly, easily, and peacefully.
